One Book, One Bakersfield -- This 2005 citywide reading program featured Ray Bradbury's classic Fahrenheit 451. As a guest local scifi author, ET was invited to deliver a talk at Bakersfield College on the dystopia Mr Bradbury created for the book. ET also moderated a lively Fahrenheit 451 booktalk at the Bakersfield Barnes & Noble.

LOSCON 31 in L.A., November 2004. Participated on panels.

Westercon 57 at Litchfield Park, AZ in July,2004. Participated on panels, delivered a multimedia presentation called Extreme Worldbuilding.

Westercon 56 at SeaTac in July,2003. Participated on panels, on writer's team that workshopped manuscripts by aspiring novelists (workshops sponsored by the estimable Fairwood Writers of the greater Seattle area).

Radio appearances on numerous talk shows, with regional and national golden-voiced hosts like Brad Davis, Ken Hamblin, Jordan Rich, Brad Shepard and Rick Barber.
