It's fun to watch clients grow. Lowe Enterprises is one that I've seen grow from a few people into a diversified global real estate machine. A quality machine at that. Over a baker's dozen of years I produced numerous publications for Lowe's various groups. Any visual consistency is intentional.
The first corporate "record of achievement" brochure I designed for Lowe was 8 pages. This one is 28, was exquisitely printed and won awards for both design and printing. The sample spread here is typical of the inside pages; lots of mostly fine photographs of Lowe projects. This is one from the Commercial Properties section.
An incidental design was this logo for a conference, which got embroidered onto blue denim shirts.
Lowe Enterprises Community Development is one of the firm's subsidiaries. Its focus is on the planning, development and management of large scale real estate projects. This project is a slick 6-panel folder designed around the theme "under all is the land." Below are the center and right inside panels with a pocket containing inserts with volatile information: the stuff that changes, like projects, office and contact information. Very practical.
Another incidental was this logo design for a Lowe Enterprises Investment Management gathering at a Colorado ski resort.
This is the prospectus for Lowe's Strategic Opportunities Fund, an investment vehicle to fund acquisition, turnaround and disposition of undervalued properties. It was put together by LEIM, one of the Lowe subsidiaries. The peek-a-boo cover was an elegant textured cover stock with six die-cut squares revealing mysterious snippets of the image on the title page. The title and logo were embossed and silver foil-stamped. Most of the guts of this 24-page wirebound book were black and white salted with a few color pages of projects.
The prospectus for the Hotels & Resorts Fund was a joint venture of LEIM and Lowe's highly successful Destination Hotels & Resorts subsidiary. The design approach was similar to the Strategic Opportunities Fund. This project was 68 pages and featured color pages profiling specific projects demonstrating Lowe's turnaround expertise. Thus the little financial performance and projection graphs on the sample pages.
